On Dec. 27, Carimi performed a sold-out show at at the UBS Arena in New-York, delivering a night that was equal parts emotionally charged, visually stunning and musically conscious.
The concert was about more than music; it was a statement of reconciliation and unity.
“It’s unity,” Richard Cavé said. “It’s allowing people to understand that both of us left our business to come here to do something bigger,” he added.
The show brought together thousands of fans and featured performances of Carimi’s oldest hits and a mix of solo renditions from band members.
Richard Cavé was joined by Tina Ly for their duet hit “À Tes Côtés,” while Mickael Guirand performed alongside Shabba Ekip.
Special guests Roberto Martino of T-Vice and Tjo Zenny of Kreyol La also joined the band for the tribute.
A poignant moment during the evening was a tribute to Michael “Mikaben” Benjamin, who died suddenly in 2022 after collapsing on stage in paris.
